AVS Video ReMaker

AVS Video ReMaker Editor's Review

The latest addition to the AVS Video ReMaker series, AVS Video ReMaker 4.0 continues to allow users to edit their MPEG, AVI, DVD, Blu-ray, HD and WMV videos.

Users can trim unwanted parts of their video to save space on their computers, while crucially there is no need for reconversion of edited files – the program allows you to save your videos as new conversions. For those wishing to add a professional sheen, they can create DVD and Blu-ray titles and option menus to their finished videos.

As well as existing videos, AVS Video ReMaker 4.0 is capable of editing and polishing videos shot from camcorders and other portable devices. You can also record videos from your PC and turn them into training videos, demonstrations and video guides.

AVS Video ReMaker 4.0 is offered at a free trial, although the full version is part of the package. This includes a range of editing suite software and is available for $39 a year or a one off payment of $59 for lifetime usage – if you trial the software and think you are going to be using it a lot, you may want to skip straight to the lifetime usage option rather than paying for a year.

Pro's: Fast conversion speed

Con's: Questionable default settings

Conclusion: This is a great piece of video editing software. If you are an experienced editor then you may want to play around with the settings that are already installed, but the novice editor can’t go far wrong with this piece of kit.
